JACK MADNEZZ ARTIST STATEMENT
Jack Madnezz has used art to express himself since he was a child. He used his art as a place to rebel, process his place in his family and his community and find support and acknowledgment from his peers and elders. As a Member of the Cree Community, his art explores the macabre and surreal side of nature through his photography, sculpture, and painting.

Jack Madnezz uses themes of horror to explore our shared common fears, clowns, sleep paralysis, nightmares, and murder as well as delving into beautiful and unsettling fantasy worlds that he creates through digital manipulations.
Jack Madnezz is strongly influenced by his brother, Joshua Alexander, whom he has watched continuously show up to work, no matter what, and diligently build an artful life, a strong and vast skill set, and a thriving career.

Music also plays an integral part in Madnezz's influences: the work of Kurt Cobain, Travis Barker, and Chester Bennington are the lifeblood of Jack.
You can find Jack Madnezz weekly on his Youtube Channel- Madnezz Channel, Mondays at 7pm Mountain Time. His work has been seen in varied locations in the Edmonton Alberta, Canada area.
